Spray Tans Are Not Created Equal

Are you confused by all of the different spray tanning methods?  There are many ways to get a little color in your skin.  Spray tanning can be performed at home or at a salon. There are considerable differences between tanning yourself at home and receiving professional service at a salon. The greatest difference is obviously the quality of the tan.

When a professional tanner sprays your skin they have the benefit of seeing your body closeup. They are not obstructed in any way. You simply stand still and they will maneuver and do all the work. They will notice any area on your body that appears uneven and will apply more or less spray mist to that area. They can also reach areas of the body that a person normally couldn't. Think about using an airbrush to spray tan your lower back. This simple point illustrates just how difficult and stressful it can be to spray tan ones own body.

Salons also offer spray tanning booths to their clients. These automated machines automatically spray a mist on your body. Some booths are far superior in build and this results is varying degrees of quality with some offering better tans than others. They however do not compare with a professionally trained tanner spraying your body one on one. Such automated service might be equal in quality to doing it yourself at home.

There are also differences in the solutions that are used in all of the methods available.  Some products can contain parabens and other harmful chemicals.  Some sit on the skin and can give you an orange look!  No one wants that!

There are also a variety of products to keep your tan looking fresh and lasting longer.  Some tans can last up to 3 weeks!

At the salon we offer South Seas The Safe & Sexy way to tan.  You can still have some glow even in the winter!
